Brief History:

Prize Catch was born in the garage of Chuck and Shanna Ledgerwood’s Utah house in 1997 as a hobby/business. Since their summertime lives had a great deal to do with fly fishing and backpacking, the new hobby/business seemed to fit in perfectly and helped support their adventures too. Chuck continued his very successful corporate career while nurturing his hobby/business until 2003 when he “woke up” and realized that his corporate job wasn’t leading him in the direction he wanted to go. Chuck gave up his career and then devoted all his time to the now “Business”. In 2006, the Ledgerwoods made the decision to move their home and business to Montana. This may have been more of a quest to chase a fish or two…who knows.

As a life long fly fishermen, previous corporate executive, and master wood worker, Chuck is continuing to build Prize Catch into a contender in the Fly Fishing Equipment market. The original selection of exotic wood fly boxes happened to open quite a “nitch” in the market. Over time, that “nitch” has led them to other fly fishing products. The absolute best feature about these products though is the affordability of each item offered.

We would like to extend our guarantee against defects or flaws in workmanship on all of our products. We are very confident in our products and are willing to replace them at our expense if they are found to be defective. That means we will pay shipping in both directions. See you on the river!
