Alder is a domestic hardwood that grows on the Pacific coast of the United States and Canada. It is pale yellow to mostly reddish brown in color. Fairly straight grained and shows a pleasing but subdued figure. Included with this fly box is a laser engraved Brook Trout. Our fly boxes are constructed from one single piece of lumber so there are no glued seems. You can easily see the continuous grain from top to bottom and side to side. There will be slight coloration changes and grain changes between each fly box. Each fly box is Unique!
